What do the vowels in my name tell me?
The vowels (the soft flowing sounds) of our name show the inner loving caring us, whereas the consonants are the protection around our inner vulnerable self. The consonants are seen as our personality, the exterior us; how others see us.
The vowels are A, E, I, O and U. All the other letters are calculated as consonants except in many cases the letter Y. Depending how the letter Y sounds in a name determines whether it is calculated as a vowel or consonant.
For example the Y in Tracey has a flowing sound therefore it is calculated as a vowel and the Y in Yoda which has a sharper sound is a consonant. Another example just to complicate things:
Sydney is calculated with the first Y a vowel and the 2nd Y a consonant. Sydney’s soul number (total of vowels) = 12/3 and its personality (consonant) is 17/8 and total name = 29/11
A good numerology reading must first be calculated correctly before any interpretations can be commenced.
